Forgiveness. It is the gift above all gifts. It is the release from all we have done wrong. Every failure, every word, every action, and every thought that we've ever done. It is the gift that cleanses us, and makes us whiter than snow. It is the thing that enables us to come to God with joy and without fear of judgment.
God's forgiveness is not temporary. It is amazingly permanent and it has no expiration date! When God forgives He forgives completely. He forgives entirely and it is forever! It has to be! It can be nothing else because the reality of the eternal life is that it is...eternal! We can only have eternal life if the forgiveness that God has forgiven us with is eternal! If it wasn't, than our life in Christ would only last as long as the expiration date of that forgiveness!
Never think you are no longer forgiven from something God already forgave you for! His forgiveness runs too deep and too wide for that!
The Blood of Jesus Christ is the amazing and wonderful gift that has washed us and cleansed us. God is not sending any other Savior. He is not sending any other solution other than the work of Jesus Christ upon the cross, and the reality of His blood is that it has already been shed for you and me! (See Romans 6:10) Why is God not sending another Savior? Because the work of Jesus Christ accomplished more than 2,000 years ago is still as powerful as the day it was shed. It is still working!
If you have received Jesus Christ as your Savior and have trusted in His atoning work on the cross, then you need not another solution. You need not another hope. You need not another encouragement. You have all you need! You have all you'll ever need! You'll have all you need for all eternity. His love will never run out. His love will never run dry! His love will never diminish. It will never become soiled or stained or weak.
Today, remember what you have received. Remember WHO you have received. Remember what Jesus did. Remember that it is eternal and remember that it is working right now! As a believer, you are walking in the wonderful and beautiful forgiveness of Jesus Christ! You are washed. You are cleansed. You are pure. You are His beloved, and no one, and nothing can snatch you out of the hands of Jesus Christ!
Dance, leap, and skip like a little child because your sins are forgiven! (Matthew 9:2)
