Have you seen any of the popular TV shows about people discovering the great value of things laying around their house? Someone comes to their home, sees what looks like trash, and then assesses it for thousands of dollars! The expressions on their faces are epic. They never realized the value of the things that they've had for many years. I'm sure some of them had been praying for God to help them with their finance and the provision was right in front of them all along.
In many ways, this discovery of "unrecognized treasure" makes me think about the Bible. It's been laying around the homes of millions and they've never come to realize the great value they had right in front of them. Some are praying for help in countless areas and have never come to realize that God’s provision was with them all along.
Yes, it may appear like a black leather book that people say is filled with man-made fairytales, but the reality is they lack the knowledge and expertise to properly assess its value. Only someone with a more discerning eye can begin to reveal the true worth of what we have in God’s Word. In this case, the assessor of the value of the 66 books we call the Bible is not a representative of a dead author, but is actually the living Author whose been raised from the dead! Psalm 33:6, says,
"By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth."
God reveals that the heavens were made and all the hosts of them by the "breath of His mouth". This is simply another way of saying that God created everything by His Word. We don't have a boring book written by man and filled with errors. We have a supernatural book that reveals the very mind, heart, and will of God. Not only that, but it’s revealed to have creative power and bring real change into our lives. Psalm 107:20 says,
"He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalm 107:20, NKJV)
Better than all the money in the world, God sent the very source of healing to deliver us from our destructions—His Word! Without question, we haven't truly understood the value of the book we call the Bible. Its time we allow God to once again reveal its true value to all the world. It's time we once again reclaim a true understanding of the grace and value of the gift we have in the Bible. It's time we revolt against the spiritual poverty that exists in people's lives and discover the great riches given to us in, and through the Bible.
It's for these very reasons I felt called to write the book entitled, Unleashing Heaven's Breath. A book aimed to help people not only understand the true identity of God's Word, but also to understand how to release its power into our everyday lives!
By God's grace, the teachings in Unleashing Heaven's Breath have already been producing healings and miracles in people's lives, and I believe it will abundantly bless you and your family also!
