True worship cannot come from people who do not offer true sacrifice. True sacrifice flows out of a heart's understanding that God is righteous, worthy, and so much bigger than us, that it causes us to drop to our knees in awe and adoration. True worship that brings sacrifice brings a manifestation of true glory.
The glory of God appeared after the people offered their sin offering, burnt offering and peace offerings. Then fire came out from before the Lord and consumed their offering and the people saw it and an awesome fear of the revelation and power of God came upon them! This fire did not originate from natural means, but spiritual. The sacrifice came from people, but the fire came from God!
Let's realize that God still requires us to provide sacrifice. Not a sacrifice for sin since God offered His Son, Jesus, as a sin-sacrifice forever! But offerings of worship that come from love, commitment, repentance, praise, worship, and our very lives. When God is pleased with our sacrifice He comes and consumes us with His power.
Let's do it, AGCC! Let's offer things pleasing to God and watch His glory and power consume us so we become a beautiful fragrance to the Lord and all the world! Let's get expectant for the things God is going to do this Sunday!
He loves you, and loves to see us gather in His presence!
“Then Aaron lifted his hand toward the people, blessed them, and came down from offering the sin offering, the burnt offering, and peace offerings. And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting, and came out and blessed the people. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people, and fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.”
